Find the correct statement and account
When are Township property taxes due?
The 2026 payment deadline was July 2. A 5% penalty applies to current-year taxes left unpaid after that date, including an unclaimed Home Owner Grant. A further 5% applies after midnight on September 3, 2026. Those dates have passed.
What if my statement never arrived?
Statements are mailed or emailed at the end of May. If yours has not arrived by mid-June, request a copy at tax@tol.ca. You still have to pay by the deadline even when the statement is missing.
Who pays after a home purchase?
New owners should confirm payment arrangements with their lawyer or notary. Check whether the seller or buyer will pay the current year's taxes and claim the grant. Do not assume the ownership transfer has paid the bill.

Payment methods and online access
How can I pay?
The Township lists online banking, a financial institution, mail, the Civic Facility counter and its 24-hour drop boxes. Use the property tax account details on your own notice. Utility payments use a separate account and payee.
Where is the service counter?
Customer Service is on the second floor of the Civic Facility, 20338 65 Avenue. Check the notice and current payment page before choosing a payment method or mailing a cheque close to a deadline.
How do I see my bill online?
Sign into MyTownship, choose the Property Tax widget, then eBilling, Link Account and Link Property Tax. Use the folio or roll number and access code on your notice. Choose the account under My Accounts to confirm its address.

Grants, penalties and account problems
Does paying taxes claim my Home Owner Grant?
No. Apply separately through the Province at gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or call 1-888-355-2700. An unclaimed grant remains part of the unpaid balance when the Township calculates late penalties.
Can staff waive a late penalty?
The Township says the penalties are legislated and cannot be waived. Allow enough time for the payment to reach the account. Missing mail or an ownership change does not remove the payment duty.
Can I appeal the bill amount?
The Township says the tax amount itself is not appealable through its tax office. Property assessment is a separate BC Assessment process. An increase in assessed value does not automatically mean the same percentage increase in the municipal tax rate.
Why does MyTownship ask for a code?
Since December 10, 2025, MyTownship requires a verification code when signing into account services. Keep access to the email used for the account. This sign-in code is separate from the property access code used to link a tax account.
