Annual registration and published fees
How long does a dog licence last?
Township dog licences run from January 1 to December 31. All dogs in the Township must be licensed. The 2026 permanent tag replaces the previous tag because the contact phone number changed. Renewal is still annual even with a permanent tag.
What are the standard adult-owner fees?
An intact dog's regular fee is $70, reduced to $60 on or before February 1. A spayed or neutered dog's regular fee is $40, reduced to $30 by that date. Discounts require all previous balances to be paid.
What do seniors pay?
For owners aged 65 or older, an intact dog costs $45 regularly or $35 by February 1. A spayed or neutered dog costs $30 regularly or $20 by that date. Provide the required proof for the correct licence classification.

Proof, applications and account linking
What about special classifications?
The page lists aggressive dogs at $180 and dangerous dogs at $450. Certified service dogs cost $10 with supporting documents. A replacement tag costs $10 and a transfer costs $15. Confirm the dog's classification with staff before paying.
What proof is needed for a first licence?
Provide the dog's breed, colour, name and gender, the owner's contact information and the property address. A first spay or neuter discount needs the veterinary certificate. Email dogs@tol.ca if you cannot complete the online process.
How do I apply online?
Open the Township dog licence service, choose Continue and Apply New Dog Licences, select the property address and complete the form. Online payment accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Retain the receipt and confirm how the new tag will arrive.

Kennels, replacement tags and help
How do I link an existing licence?
In MyTownship, open the Dog Licence widget, Link or Access Account, then Link Dog Licence. Use the five-digit account number and access code on the notice. Confirm the address under My Accounts before adding or removing dogs.
Can I pay without the online service?
Customer Service at 20338 65 Avenue is open weekdays 8:30am to 4:30pm. The page lists cash, debit, cheque and credit cards; counter credit cards have a 2.2% fee. Cheques must name Township of Langley.
Does a kennel licence cover every dog?
A hobby kennel business licence includes up to six tags and does not allow extra dogs. A licensed commercial kennel includes six tags; further licences cost $15 each. Check the kennel conditions rather than applying ordinary household fees to every dog.
Who helps with lost tags and account changes?
Email dogs@tol.ca or call 604-533-6005. MyTownship supports adding or removing a dog, tag requests, billing-delivery changes and payment. Keep the tag and owner contact details current so a found dog can be traced quickly.
