Choose the kind of evening you actually want
Four kilometres after dark feels different from four kilometres on a sunny afternoon. Graves of the Tradesmen takes about two hours, while Descent into Darkness takes three and includes graphic material. If your group enjoys stories but not a long evening on its feet, compare the lower-walking programme inside the fort before paying. Do not assume that every tour has the same route, content or age limit.
Give the whole evening room to breathe. Save the meeting point at the Visitor Centre, arrive at least 15 minutes early and keep the booked time separate from any meal or village walk. The operator does not accept walk-ins. A person who misses their arrival window cannot depend on joining the next group, especially when tickets are scarce.
Pets are not part of the outing, with service animals excepted under the posted rule. Read the weather and cancellation conditions with your companions before buying. Parks Canada says guests receive a full refund when severe weather forces a cancellation. That is different from deciding at home that the forecast feels unpleasant. Make the booking only once the group understands its own ticket conditions.

A daytime recommendation is not an evening ticket
The August local visitor discussion recommended Fort Langley as a history and walking stop. Grave Tales is a separate, dated evening programme. It needs advance payment and is not simply included because you have visited the village or fort in daytime.
Parks Canada lists Graves of the Tradesmen as an 18+ two-hour, 4 km walk at $31.58 on selected nights. Descent into Darkness is 18+, three hours and $44.97, with mature and graphic themes. These are not interchangeable family tours. The calendar also describes a lower-walking option inside the fort; check its own booking details.

The demand is real, but a resale post is not a booking route
An October 10, 2026 Langley post came from someone who had forgotten to buy tickets and hoped to find two from another visitor. A reply said they had enjoyed Grave Tales twice and suggested Forbidden Vancouver if the fort was full. It is a small exchange, but it captures the planning problem: a popular idea is not useful until you have seats for the right night.
The older August 2026 visitor discussion praised Fort Langley for food and meandering. That can be a pleasant daytime plan on its own, without adding an evening tour that does not suit your group. The 2022 family-maze discussion is another reminder that Halloween outings range from gentle farm days to adult scares. This guide uses the official booking channel; private ticket offers and unverified out-of-town alternatives remain outside its shortlist.
